Neil Workman honoured at Welsh League AGM
Neil Workman, long-serving Pontyclun official, was honoured at the MacWhirter Welsh League annual meeting which was staged at Maesteg Park football club on Saturday afternoon, writes Ray Parker.
He received a league merit award from President Tommy Forse who was re-elected unopposed to the position.
Ken Tucker, league secretary, said that Mr Workman was "one of the finest administrators we have. He is first class. He has been with the club for more than 20 years and these people are the salt of the earth to clubs at our level of football."
After receiving the award, Mr. Workman said: "This has come as a complete
and unexpected surprise and I thank my club for thinking me worthy of the award. It is both a pleasure and a privilege to be a member of a club in this league. I will treasure this award."
Everyone associated with Pontyclun Football Club wishes to congratulate Neil on this well-deserved award and we are privilged to have him as part of our club, WELL DONE NEIL!!!
