Rhys Davies (Goalkeeper) - Rhys is an agile keeper with great reflexes, who was Players' Player 2006/07. Rhys previously appeared for Bridgend Town and likes going out with Lady GaGa.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tyrone Pope (Defender) - 'Tyrell' joined the club in 2001, after spells with Ton Pentre and AFC Rhondda. Great defender, strong in the air,  Popie can often be heard 'whooshing' at the Ivor Park! Tyrone likes Hotel Inspectors and Sprint Drinking!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tom Pascoe (Defender)-' Pablo' is an excellent young defender, who captained our youth team last season, as well as turning out for the 1st Team in the Welsh League. Tom likes sunbathing and camping with Chris Bowen.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Phil Watson (Defender / Midfielder & 1st Team Captain) - 'Boy W' has a great engine, posseses great fitness levels and a dependable performer in midfield or in defence. Previously appeared for Hadjuk Spilt and Llantrisant.This year's 1st Team Captain. Phil likes 6 halves and Racing Cars.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chris Bowen (Defender) - Chris is an excellent defender, strong in the air, with a good turn of pace. Chris is a Warehouse Processor for Capper & Co and lives in Porth. Has also represented Blaenrhondda and AFC Porth. Chris likes going camping with Tom Pascoe.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Adrian James (Midfielder)  - 'Fluff' joined the club years ago, from local rivals Pontypridd Town and has become Pontyclun's Midfield General, even though he wears sliver boots! A fierce competitor and very hard-working. Adrian has vast experience of playing and coaching and also, the honour of having the 'fluffiest hair in the Welsh League 2004'! Adrian likes drinking with Quinny.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Craig Williams (Midfielder) - 'Baros' is a local lad and was formerly with Swansea City and Cardiff City youth. A tremendous prospect, with great feet and en eye for goal. Capped by the Boys Clubs of Wales. Needs to brush up on his fashion sense according to Preenie. Craig likes Cwtching and wearing vests.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ross Youlden (Defender/Midfielder) - 'Rosso' has always played for Pontyclun, after establishing himself as a regular scorer for the Reserves, Ross has now progressed and is part of the 1st Team Squad. Ross is following in his father's footsteps playing for the 'Clun, as dad Neil was a former 1st Team Captain after an illustrious career with Man Utd, Ton Pentre and other clubs. Ross likes fishing and bin bag training.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joel Woodington (Forward) - 'Billy' was top scorer in his 1st season in senior football and repeated the feat again last year, bagging 24 goals. A tremendous prospect who shows great strength and determnation. Has also previously represented Cardiff and Rhondda Academy. Joel likes Clay Pigeon shooting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Matthew James (Forward)Matthew possesses electric pace, great balance and can be a real handful for any defence, great prospect & last year’s player of the year. A match winner on his day. Masher loves X Factor. (pic to follow)

Tom Rees (Midfielder) - Tom signed for the club during the summer and is a pacy wide player, with great feet and a tremendous engine. Previously played for Cambrian and Blaenrhondda. Tom likes The Muppet Show. (pic to follow)

Steve Davies (Forward) - Steve joined the club last season and was an instant hit. Leads the line very well with power and pace. Previously appeared for Milford Haven and Monkton. Steve likes curling his hair and scoring goals. (pic to follow)

Aled Davies (Midfielder) - Aled re-signed for the club this summer after a season in the South Wales Amateur League. Has now returned and looks set for an excellent season. A combative midfielder who does the simple things well. Previously played for Pontypridd and Llanharry. Aled likes falling asleep in pubs. (pic to follow)

Geraint Williams (Forward) - Geraint has recently returned to the club, aftert a spell with Cwm Welfare. Geraint is a proven goalscorer at Welsh League and finished top scorer in our Champoinship winning tream of 2003. Can bring others into the game, as well as finding the net. (pic to follow)

Matthew Havard (Forward) - Matthew recently joined us from Cwm Welfare and is keen to make his mark at Welsh League level. Matthew has scored goals at Senior League level and possesses blistering pace and power.

Steve Johnson  (Goalkeeper) - Steve is in his 2nd season with the club, having played for both the youth team and seniors last year. Great shot stopper with tremendous athleticism and plenty of confidence. Steve likes perfecting his six-pack. (pic to follow)

Marcus James - (Midfielder) - ‘Mini Fluff’ is a young exciting prospect, who has come back well after a knee reconstruction. Another player with an abundance of tricks up his sleeve, has featured with our youth and senior teams. (pic to follow)

Tom Holder - (Forward/Midfielder) – Tom joined us from Llantrisant in the summer and is looking to make his mark at this level. Will score goals for youth and senior teams as he continues to improve, excellent prospect. Tom likes drinking with Pascoe. (pic to follow)

Jason Smith - (Midfielder/Forward) – Jay is an exciting player with two good feet and a bagful of tricks. Had a spell with Sheffield Wednesday and a couple of other Football League clubs. Jay likes nightclubs. (pic to follow)

Mark Day (Midfielder / Striker) - Dayo has a great engine and an eye for goal, getting into double figures from midfield last season. A true team player, who gives his all every time he steps onto the pitch.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gareth Morgan (Defender) - Gaffa is an experienced defender, who has been with us for 6 or 7 years, split by spells with Grange Quins, Ferndale and Grange Albion. A good organiser and reader of the game. Gareth likes Mars Bars and half a dark.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Barry Quinn (Player/Manager )- Quinny is in his debut season as 1st TeamManager, along with Eliot Davey. Barry is a long-serving powerful defender and former1st Team Captain and has played for our club since the age of nine, apart from a spell away with Cardiff City's Youth Team. Quinny likes drinking Irn Bru.

 

 

 

 

Eliot Davey (Player/Manager) - 'Del Boy' joined the club some eight years ago, after spells with Cwm Welfare, Llantwit Fardre and Ton Pentre. Has this season taken over as Player/Manager, along with Barry Quinn to form a ‘youthful’ Management Team. Eliot likes Rafa Benitez.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Phil Preene (Director of Football)- 'Preenie' has been involved with the club for more years than most can remember, having played for the club as well as a spell with Tonyrefail, before returning to run his hometown club. Phil was a central midfielder in his day, known for his 'enthusiastic tackling'. Phil hopes to join the PGA Golf Circuit one day, as he owns his own Golf Academy and own scores of Golf videos. Phil is a Funeral Director and lives in Mwyndy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

John Jenkins (Physio)-  'Uncle Albert' has also been with the club for years, having coached some of the junior sides. John has healing hands and can work his magic on most injuries, just dont let him near the keys for the bus! John served in the Army for years and can often be found in the Athletic Club in his favourite rocking chair, telling tales of War and trouble on the High Seas! John works for BT and lives in Cardiff.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Paul 'Codfather' Cale (Groundsman) - 'Foxy' has been involved with the club since the age of 12, showed huge promise as a youngster and could have achieved greatness on the football field. Instead, Paul achieved legendary status in most of the local Burger and Pizza Bars! Currently in a fitness campaign to make a comeback sometime before 2020! A true clubman, Paul lives in Pontyclun and is a handyman. (pictured on right of pic)
